Montenegro

 First of all apologies for the long gap between posts, I have been on some real life travels again.  So next up on our virtual travels is Montenegro.  It's another country I was meaning to visit last year, but had to cancel for health reasons.  This is the first time that I've covered a country on this blog and really struggled to find any music from here.  The only thing I could dig up was a 2005 compilation called Music from Montenegro, which features some traditional folk from various regions of the country.  Here are just 2 examples I've picked out.  

First up from the capital Podgorica is a tune or rather 3 tunes from the Podgorica Ensemble called Crna Gora kremen kamen - Poljem se vije - Ursuta:

And then from a hamlet high up in the mountains near the town of Berane on the way towards Kosovo a song by the Tikova Female Singers called Danica Bolest Boluje:
